Selling Peaches!

Youth For Christ Peaches!

Fullfilling Use of Time

"I could be sleeping in right now," Pete says as he looks at me with a small grin on his face. It was a Saturday morning at the Farmer's Market selling one of our three shipments of Colorado peaches. It was one of those great "coachable" moments. Pete had been helping us all week and faithfully showed up to sell peaches again on the weekend. Pete was encouraged by his mom to assist in the fundraising. I looked at him and said, "We are so grateful for your help. Your time here has been impactful and helps sustain the ministry so we can keep on having fun and purposeful clubs! Your giving will keep on giving for months to come." I pray and hope that will be a seed planting for Pete to see the importance of giving time for Kingdom-Come work in his years to come. He was a great, consistent, helper! Pete among 15 others helped sell peaches over the course of approximately three weeks. The volunteer work requires transporting heavy peach boxes, teamwork, good communication, and good customer service. It's not always easy, but it's done with a labor of love, and we are so thankful for all those who helped make it possible. Thank you, teens and adults, for giving your time so GFYFC can continue for another year in the local community! Your hard work does not go unnoticed!
